After an extended summer, OD Anosike embarked on his seventh professional season by signing with reigning LNBP champion Fuerza Regia in Monterrey, Mexico. The deal is a one-year contract, with an player opt-out clause that extends through the entirety of the season.

“At this point of my career, I was really searching for comfort, flexibility, and a winning organization” said Anosike. “After coming off a championship season, the team and fans have high expectations. I’m excited and ready for the challenge”.

After agreeing to terms on Thursday evening, Anosike flew to Monterrey to join his new companions on Friday morning. After only one day of practice, Anosike played in back-to-back league action games Saturday and Sunday. Fuerza Regia dropped the first match in a heartbreaking 82-79 loss to Huracanes, but were able to bounce back with a 86-69 victory against the same opponent on Sunday. Anosike made his presence felt in both games by debuting with a 23 point, 13 rebound, 5 assist game on Saturday while producing 16 points, 9 rebounds and 2 steals in Sunday’s win.

Fuerza Regia returns to action on October 14 in a home matchup against Capitanes.
