Big offensive night by Anosike powers Varese to road win over Avellino
Last Sunday, Pallacanestro Varese earned a much-needed victory over Sidigas Avellino, 82-75. Varese’s balanced attack was led by O.D. Anosike, who produced a season-high 19 points and added 7 rebounds against his former team.
“It was a great win in an extremely hostile environment against a veteran team” said Anosike. “To get a win like this one was very important in a multitude of ways. This victory will go a long way in helping our confidence, as well as improving our position in the standings.”
Pallacanestro Varese wins their second straight game, moving to 7-14, while Sidigas Avellino falls to 13-8. Varese is back in action this Sunday in a home matchup against another one of Anosike’s former clubs, VL Pesaro.
