Fuerza Regia accomplished the unthinkable by surviving consecutive road losses to begin the series to battle back and win the series on the opponent’s home floor. They also did so in convincing fashion, beating Mineros Zacatecas 83-66 on Monday night. OD Anosike was the MVP of the game, leading the way with 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 assist.

“This series definitely had a championship-type of feel to it” said Anosike. “Both teams protected home court until game 7. I’m proud of how resilient we were after losing game 6 and then coming back and winning game 7 in the manner that we did. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to bring home a championship to the fans of Fuerza Regia and the city of Monterrey”.

Fuerza Regia advances to the finals and will face Soles de Mexicali, the number one seed from the opposing conference. Fuerza Regia will once again begin the series on the road as game 1 is set to tip off on February 7 in Mexicali.
