OD Anosike concludes strong second season in Italy
OD Anosike recently wrapped up his second professional season in Italy with Sidigas Avellino. The 6’8″ forward followed up a great rookie campaign with a strong sophomore year, leading Italy’s Serie A league for the second straight season in rebounding (10.9) and double-doubles (14). Remarkably, this was the 4th consecutive year that Anosike has lead his league in rebounding. The two-time All-Star was also third on the team in scoring at 11.5 points per game while shooting 62.1 percent from the field, which was good for third in the league.
“It was a nice year for me individually. I’m thankful that I had the opportunity to play alongside good teammates that made my job on the court a lot easier” said Anosike. “Being a part of a first-class organization like Avellino was a tremendous experience and I’m looking forward to seeing what’s next”.
The 24-year old Anosike is now a free-agent.
