Anosike departs Iran, signs in Turkey with Ankaragucu

After helping the team to a 9-5 record, OD Anosike and Iranian club Mahram have mutually agreed to part ways. He will continue his 11th professional season in a familiar country as he signed a contract with Turkish TBL team Ankaragucu for the rest of the season.

“I’m extremely thankful to the Mahram organization for all they have done for me during our time together, and for allowing me to exit my contract to pursue a great opportunity in Turkey” said Anosike. “We’ve enjoyed some success early in the season and I wish them the best of the luck moving forward. At the same time, I’m looking forward to joining my new team and helping them reach new heights”.

Anosike joins an Ankaragucu team that aims to remain in the TBL for 2024-2025. Anosike concludes his time in Iran with averages of 12.9 points, 11.5 rebounds (first in the league), 3.1 assists and 8 double-doubles. Anosike’s first game will be January 21 in a home matchup against Kapakli Spor.
