Anosike, Le Portel conclude season
O.D. Anosike’s sixth professional season has come to a close with a 86-92 loss to Bourg. Anosike ended his strong season with a 10 point, 11 rebound performance.
“It was a tough year on many fronts, but I’m pleased with the progress we made down the stretch” said Anosike. “I’m thankful to the coaches for giving me this opportunity to play for a solid organization. I think Le Portel fans have a lot to look forward to in the future”.
Le Portel concludes the regular season at 10-24. Anosike was one of the most efficient and consistent players in the league all season long. His 11.1 points per game finished third highest on the team, while his 8.6 rebounds per game was good for first in the entire French ProA league (!!!!). This is the fifth out of six professional seasons that Anosike has led his respective league in rebounds per game. His 7 double-doubles landed him fourth-highest in the league. Further, his 2.2 assists per game was a career high, while also adding 1.1 steals per game and an overall evaluation per game rate of 16.
Anosike is now a free agent.
