Anosike signs short-term deal in Libya, helps team win title
After concluding is 10th professional season in Turkey, OD Anosike signed a short-term contract with Libyan powerhouse Ahly Benghazi. In a double round robin playoff format, Ahly Benghazi completed the playoffs with a 5-1 record, good enough to clinch the league championship.
“To join a team right before the playoffs wasn’t easy” said Anosike. “They already had a tremendous regular season and had built great chemistry among themselves. I came in to help in any way that I could. I’m happy we were able to secure a championship for such a passionate fanbase and historic club”.
Anosike is now a free agent.
