Real Betis gave FC Barcelona all they could handle, but the perennial Euroleague power took home an 89-82 road win on Sunday afternoon. OD Anosike led the way for Real Betis with a game-high 22 points on 9-13 shooting, while adding 6 rebounds.

“I think any time you face a team like Barcelona, you have to be completely locked in for 40 minutes in order to have a chance to beat them” said Anosike. “We had a lapse in the second quarter and they made us pay dearly for it. At the same time, I’m proud of the fight that we showed. We will need more of the same against all of our opponents for the rest of the year”.

With the loss, it snaps a 4-game winning streak for Real Betis. Anosike has been a steady contributor as he is averaging 9.7 points per game, which is good for second on the team. He is also averaging 5.9 rebounds per game, which is good for seventh in the ACB league.
