Anosike wins February TBL Player of the Month

The month of February was nearly impeccable for OD Anosike as he was given the Turkish Basketball League “Player of the Month” award. He averaged nearly 15 points, nearly 16 rebounds, and over 2 assists during the month, while leading his team to a 4-1 record.

“It was a good month both individually and collectively” said Anosike. “I tried to acclimate myself to the team as quickly as possible and just help us win games. We still have a long way to go, but the hard work is manifesting itself. Hopefully we can keep it going down the stretch”.

Since joining the team in January, Anosike has become one of the league’s most consistent players. He holds averages of 13 points, 14 rebounds, 2 assists and  7 double-doubles in 8 games. The month of March got off to a nice start as well, as Ankaragucu secured a 76-75 road win over TED College on March 4. Anosike finished the game with 10 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Ankaragucu is back in action on March 10 in a home matchup against TBL league-leader, Yalova.
