Cholet’s magical season comes to an end, falls to ASVEL in quarterfinals
After a historic second half of the season, Cholet cemented itself as one of the top teams in the league while securing a place in France’s ProA playoffs. After taking a 1-0 lead in the series, Cholet was eliminated by 2-time defending champion and Euroleague team ASVEL. OD Anosike concluded the season with a 10 point, 2 rebound, 2 assist performance in the 84-82 loss.
“It was an amazing season, one of the most enjoyable of my career” said Anosike. “We really came together and turned things around the second half of the season, and the results showed. I’m thankful to Cholet for the opportunity to play for such a historic club. We will see what happens in the future”
Cholet concludes its season with an 18-16 regular season record. Individually, Anosike ends his season with averages of 10.6 points, 7.3 rebounds (4th in the league), 2.1 assists, while shooting 63 percent from the field. He is now a free agent.
