iLab plays stingy defense, wins home matchup versus MKE Ankaragucu

Despite recent struggles, iLab turned its focus to securing a victory against a direct competitor in the standings. They did just that, winning 79-71 against MKE Ankaragucu on Tuesday night. OD Anosike led the way with 13 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists – which was also his league-leading 7th double-double of the season.

“It was great to get a win under our belt” said Anosike. “We’ve been struggling a little bit as of late, letting games slip away. We wanted to make sure that we didn’t repeat that again. I’m really proud of our team, I think better days are on the way for us.”

With the victory, iLab improves to 4-8, while MKE falls to 4-7. Anosike has been one of the league’s most consistent players, with averages of 11.5 points, 12.3 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and a 21.6 PER (performance efficiency rating). The team is back in action on Monday, December 8, in road matchup against Bordo.
