Strong performance by Anosike powers Fuerza Regia to victory
OD Anosike scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in a 108-77 road victory over Huracanes on Sunday night. It was his second consecutive double-double, and ninth on the season.
“It was a good night defensively for us, and it really ignited our offense” said Anosike. “If we want to be the championship caliber team that we’re capable of being, we know that our defensive effort needs to be consistent every night. Hopefully this win pushes us in the right direction down the stretch of the season”.
With the win, Fuerza Regia improves to 19-9. Anosike has been one of their most efficient players with averages of 15.4 points, 8.6 rebounds (4th in the league), and 1.4 assists while shooting at a 60% clip from the field and 72% from the free throw line. The team is back in action on Tuesday night in a road matchup against Mexico City Capitanes.
