Strong second half powers Gaziantep to road win over Kapaklispor
Despite holding just a one point lead going into halftime, Gaziantep found a way to take control in the second half. Last night, Gaziantep secured a 79-71 victory led by OD Anosike’s 17-point, 5-rebound, 4-assist performance.
“It was a hard-fought win against a team that had nothing to lose” said Anosike. “In this league, there are no easy games. You have to be ready to play every night. We’re happy that we got the win, but we know we need to tighten up down the stretch of the season”.
Gaziantep has been one of the league’s hottest teams as of late, winning 10 out of their last 11 games. With the victory, they improve to 16-13 while Kapaklispor falls to 8-21. Gaziantep will be back in action on Saturday, March 22 in a home matchup against the league’s number one team, Trabzonspor
