Dr. OD Anosike is an internationally accomplished professional basketball player whose career spans 13 years across eleven countries. Known for his physical presence, discipline, and leadership on and off the court, Anosike has competed at the highest levels of global basketball while representing organizations throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and North America.

The son of Nigerian immigrants, Anosike grew up on Staten Island, New York, where his passion for basketball and leadership was cultivated at Saint Peter’s Boys High School. There, he established himself as one of the premier players in the region, earning the prestigious Warren Jacques Award, presented annually to the most outstanding basketball player on Staten Island. He is also among the few players in Staten Island basketball history to capture three SIHSL championships, an unprecedented achievement that established a legacy culminating in the retirement of his jersey by his high school alma mater.

Anosike continued his ascent as a standout Division I student-athlete at Siena University, becoming one of the most productive players in program history. As a key member of Siena’s historic three-peat MAAC championship team, he helped guide the program to the NCAA Tournament. He also led the nation in rebounding during his junior and senior seasons and earned numerous conference and national honors, laying the foundation for a professional career defined by adaptability, resilience, and sustained high performance.

Throughout his professional journey, Anosike has served not only as a competitor but as a leader within diverse cultural, organizational, and competitive environments. His experiences navigating international leagues and complex organizational systems have sharpened his understanding of team dynamics, institutional culture, performance management, and leadership under pressure.

Beyond competition, Anosike has been deliberate in preparing for a long-term career in intercollegiate athletics administration and development. He currently serves as an Athletics Intern in External Relations at Siena University, working alongside the Deputy Director of Athletics to support strategic initiatives related to fundraising, NIL, donor support, and stakeholder engagement. In parallel, he is a participant in the National Association of Athletic Development Directors (NAADD) Earl Edwards Inclusive Development Program, a nationally recognized pathway designed to cultivate emerging leaders in athletics advancement. Together, these experiences reflect an intentional commitment to the craft of relationship building, philanthropic stewardship, and the financial structures that sustain opportunities for student-athletes.

During his offseasons, Anosike has remained deeply committed to youth development, mentorship, and the broader basketball ecosystem. He has worked with Under Armour on the grassroots AAU circuit, building meaningful relationships with college coaches, program directors, and influential sport leaders while supporting talent identification and organizational initiatives. Through camps, coaching, community engagement, and educational outreach, he continues to leverage his platform to invest in young athletes and emerging leaders. His career reflects a steadfast dedication to excellence, accountability, and growth, which are values that continue to shape his work well beyond competition.

Today, Anosike’s athletic foundation informs his broader personal mission: to inspire, and to touch the hearts and minds of people through education, sport, and Christ. His transition from professional athlete to scholar and thought leader reflects a long-term commitment to serving society and developing the next generation of dynamic decision-makers.
