From the Court to the Front Office: OD Anosike Selected for Prestigious 2026-27 NBA Future Basketball Operations Stars Program

OD Anosike has added another significant career development opportunity to his post-playing career, earning selection to the 2026-27 NBA Future Basketball Operations Stars (FBOS) Program, a five-month front office initiative designed to identify and support emerging talent in basketball operations.

Now entering its fifth season, FBOS is a highly competitive NBA program that provides participants with direct exposure to league executives and industry professionals while offering an in-depth look at several areas critical to team and organizational success. Programming includes roster construction, scouting, on- and off-court player development, analytics, the NBA Collective Bargaining Agreement and salary cap, among other topics.

For Anosike, the selection comes during a pivotal transition in his career. After concluding a 13-year professional playing career this summer, he joined the men’s basketball coaching staff at Queens University of Charlotte as Director of Student-Athlete Development & Assistant General Manager, a role that allows him to work across coaching, roster management, athletic administration, and external relations.

“I’m extremely grateful to the NBA for this opportunity,” Anosike said. “Throughout my professional playing career, I became increasingly intentional about approaching the game from different perspectives, particularly through coaching, athletics administration, and basketball operations. FBOS closely aligns with the work I’m doing now and where I hope to go in my career. I’m looking forward to learning from people at the highest level of the game, developing authentic relationships, and continuing to cultivate the skills necessary to make an impact in basketball beyond my playing career.”

The FBOS program will run from September 2026 through January 2027, allowing Anosike to further develop his understanding of the personnel, financial, analytical and organizational decisions involved in building and managing basketball teams.
